Cool synths and great rhythm, even if a little loud I like that intense kick.
The perc sounds at the beginning are a nice detail, they could work as a fill to emphasize the song's transitions. Catchy and lively piece.

Daru925 responds:

Yeah, Sytrus rocks, it's only after buying Massive AND FM8 that i realized its true potential :D
I remember i designed the whole track around the kick, I should have EQ-ed the rest of the track more carefully^^
I like your idea about using orchestral percs as a fill, basically, you keep track the same, but add an element of surprise, for a smoother transition.
I'll keep that in my book of tricks for a future track :)

So, This is the piece you told me about ?
Great work dudette, very interesting and creative.
It just needs better transitions between themes to be completely solid.
Really enjoyable song.

SilverFoxJams responds:

I'm glad you enjoyed! I agree on the transitions. There's quite a bit to improve later on.

Nice piece, I like that "asian-esque" style.
Instruments and lines are great, the only thing this piece needs (in my opinion) it's a moment when the music takes off, something to remark the climatic moment of the music.

*Side note*: when I'm not sure about genre, I usually choose "Fusion".

Radiationator responds:

Thanks for the review! I didn't even realize that NG has a "Fusion" genre :D

I like the combination of of synth sounds strings and choirs, I also like the contrast of the distorted percs. The song structure is very cool too.
May be it's a matter of taste, but I think the perc section has too much presence, and "eats" a little of the other sections and sounds, giving an unbalanced feel to this piece.

Lich responds:

I do agree with the rhythmic percussion having too much presence, especially the middle half of the track now that I have referenced it off of several different speakers and headphones. I may reduce it abit on a future revision. Thanks for the heads up!

Good electronic percussion loop.
It has a nice overall sound, It just needs some more details such as fills and rolls once in a while, like the ones in the beginning and the end, that kind of details ca make this track to sound less like a base an more like a full piece.

TheNegativeIon responds:

THAT'S more like it!

Cool ambient.
Even If quality its a little on the down side, works fine to me. It gives a worn out feel to the sound, and I think It matches with this song's vibe, specially near the end, when it gets chaotic.

SilverFoxJams responds:

Thanks! Yeah you're right, on the worn out feel. However, I'll still ponder about fixing the quality at some point. :)

I like the idea, the melody line, and harmony, but there are some things to fix.
The plucked string sound, and the piano crash into each other, and it's difficult to distinguish both sounds sometimes, maybe a darker piano sound and panning could fix that.
A simple bass line, better drums sounds and hi-hat are a "must" to improve this song.
I'm not sure about the end, but it's just a matter of taste, do not take me too serious.

Alxertion responds:

This track is definitely in need of some serious mastering; the reason for why the drums sound so low-quality is because they're the midi-default ones, for example (the reason for that being that this track was made in Noteworthy Composer; I had no idea of FL back when I made it). Thank you for your feedback!

Even when I'm not into dubstep, I really enjoyed this song.
It has a relaxed feel I really like, It just needs a little more panning.
Way to go man.

Pandasticality responds:

thnx for you're review, yeah, this is not my best work :x if i only knew the tips and tricks back then this could have come out alot better.

Nice tune, it has a catchy rhythm and good background sounds, maybe it's because of your comments but it fells a little RPG-ish.
A subtle melody line would be a nice detail to improve this song. Don't worry about music genders dude, nice music like this its enjoyed anyway.

Eagleon responds:

It's introduced quite a bit later than most songs, was going for a more atmospheric buildup, but around 1:20 is the melody. Maaaybe I went overboard on buildup haha. Thank you :)

Cool rock piece dude !
I like the crunchy sound of your guitars and vocal chords (I wish I could sing).
And congrats for your result on the NGAUC.

MetalRenard responds:

Thanks! I always love hearing when someone likes my voice, it's the part I'm really focusing on these days, I want to get really good at singing. My other one (Underdogs Rise) has better vocals I think, but I'm glad you liked these.
And trust me, I think anyone can sing. It's about 50% confidence and 50% practice! Believe you can, practice and record yourself over and over. It took me a couple of years of randomly singing here and there to get to this point and I still have so much to learn.

There's so many things I don't understand , and I'm not sure if I want to.
