Cool rock piece dude !
I like the crunchy sound of your guitars and vocal chords (I wish I could sing).
And congrats for your result on the NGAUC.

MetalRenard responds:

Thanks! I always love hearing when someone likes my voice, it's the part I'm really focusing on these days, I want to get really good at singing. My other one (Underdogs Rise) has better vocals I think, but I'm glad you liked these.
And trust me, I think anyone can sing. It's about 50% confidence and 50% practice! Believe you can, practice and record yourself over and over. It took me a couple of years of randomly singing here and there to get to this point and I still have so much to learn.

Sweet man !
This piece brings landscapes to my mind, It's practically flawless.
And congrats for your result on the NGAUC.

bassfiddlejones responds:

Thanks man - far from flawless, but I'm really glad you liked it! Thanks for the review!

Nice track, I like the gliding sound in the middle.
The sudden stop doesn't fell good but it may work great as a loop.

I like your song's melody lines and sounds, It starts a little slow but takes off nicely.
As a suggestion (because of the Mexican mythology title) add some more "tom-esque" percussion. This piece needs a little more strength on the rhythm.

MirgilCando responds:

Thanks a ton for the review, and I'll take your advice. The name for the song didn't come until it was basically already finished, I just couldn't come up with a better fitting name.

Tweaking the mix sounds like a good idea, the main melody line it's a little too high.
A nicer set of drums can enhance the sound greatly too.

There is a moment during the intro when the melody line seems to be out of time (when the drums start), A little extra volume on the bass can make the song more "solid", enjoyable piece.

Blacklawn responds:

It's because of the slow attack of the strings. I couldn't do much about it, but I'll try again later.

This is a good one dude.
Love the instrumentation, a nice balance of epic and spacey sounds.

Do not take me too serious about this, but i think brass section it's "eating" a little the strings section after the intro, an taking away that extra flavor.

conorstrejcek responds:

Thank you for the review! I took off the sidechain compression which was on the brass to help it come out a bit more. I hope you like the changes I made!

Nice melody line, and base notes.
I know it's an atmospheric piece, and its supposed to be simple, but a little extra details can improve this song big time (may i suggest subtle background sounds).
It's has all the potential, keep going !

A little to long for me, but it has nice lines.
If you keep the repetitions at minimum and jump straight to action I think it could be better.

Great bass dude.
I like the "plucky" melody too.

There's so many things I don't understand , and I'm not sure if I want to.
