I get the joke and I like the idea, but unfortunately is not very well made.
My plugin crashed the two times I tired to play. (firefox).

metalmikata responds:

Yeah you're right, for some reason Stencyl (the program I used to make this) makes crashes very easy since it can't handle a ton of things happening on screen at once.

Sorry about that man, I hope you enjoyed the little taste of Monkey Madness you had before the game just fucked your shit up.

This game has a nice and fun mechanic. Control is responsive and art style is cute.
Add extra details on the levels and characters, some music and sound effects and you'll have a solid game.

yaup responds:

We'll definitely work on making things neater when we can get to them!

Thanks for the feedback!

I think this game may be funnier to play if you could add some "uncertainty" to it.
As it is offers very little challenge, here's what I mean :
One plays higher cards (7,8,9 and 10) betting to win, lowest cards (1,2,3 and 4) betting to lose, and just play the rest (no betting) to end the round. Doing this is "profit assured". Invest all money on highest and lowest cards, repeat.
If you had a more limited (and random) number of cards of you deck on each round, it would be more challenging, otherwise you just need to fill your deck with 1s and 10s to never lose.

This game has a nice art style and music but unfortunately it has a game breaking flaw :
When the character's head reaches the superior limit of the screen bounces back to the bottom, this makes jumps from high platforms impossible.

All this game needs it's some action packed music.

brycer9 responds:

Music added =)

Really stylish. Good music and sound effects.
It has a nice challenge progression as speed goes up.
The simple idea works for me, one of my favorite ld35 games so far.

I know you had a time limit (being this an "LD" game) but still seems very incomplete.
The game mechanic is nice. Good potential, worth to develop it further (imo).

The only thing not so awesome about this game it's that it has only two levels.
All the rest is spot on. You really nailed the style of the old PC games.

FettFetterson responds:

Thanks! The finished game will definitely have more than two levels! Glad you enjoyed it and got the feel I was going for! Part of the reason I did this demo was to see if people "got" the whole DOS shareware era throwback and to see if this was something people would actually be interested in.

It has potential to become a good game, but for now it's still very incomplete.
The physics are a bit strange, they feel too fast.

Butt-Fat responds:

thanks for the feedback! i'll work on making the physics more realistic.

Not a bad mini game, just too short.
It could use better music, the tracks it has, sound a bit clunky.
On the final level the moving platform makes the character bounce constantly, and the jump becomes unresponsive because of that.

Thanks for the response!

There's so many things I don't understand , and I'm not sure if I want to.
